Abstract

The objective of this work is to present an implementation of condition-based monitoring maintenance following the guidelines of ISO 17359:2018 standard in a specific area of the company TRUPAL S.A., in order to increase the availability of its machinery. For many years, TRUPAL S.A. has focused on a corrective maintenance and has tried to implement a based on condition monitoring maintenance assisted with third party companies, but the expected objectives, such as failure control of its machinery and availability above 90%, were not achieved. This work focuses only on the pasta preparation area (PP1) which has 120 pieces of equipment and all of them were evaluated and verified according to the ISO 17359:2018 standard. In our cases, vibrational analysis and criticality analysis were performed as part of the implementation. At the end of the implementation, different tools were developed (AMFE matrices, routing tables and vibration analysis protocol) that allowed to improve the availability of the equipment, achieving up to 95.2% availability, which allowed a production growth of 2.3%. monthly on average. The development of this document is intended to be a basis for other companies to implement this type of maintenance for improving the machinery management without requiring a considerable investment.
